It has been nearly a year of ownership and I am still IN LOVE with this smoker.. what a gem. It sat out side with its cover over the winter months. Lets say I was hopeful but you never know when purchasing online, well this little unit is built like a tank. Strong, well the thing allows me to spin it as easily as a TOP.. It locks easily and it gets warm but NOT burning hot. I LOVE that not only the racks but the wall hangers come out to clean in the dishwasher. After owning many smokers in my lifetime; and recently building my own, using a Bradley’s Smoke Generator; I decided to purchase one of these for the smaller capacity. The design of this unit is brilliant, using the miniscule 125 watt element to generate the necessary plus 500 degrees of heat needed to start the wood to smoke and the larger element to control the heat.

I have had this unit for 4 weeks now and have made briskets, pork shoulder, and ribs. The unit is super simple to operate. Turn it on, set the time and temp, and add a small amount of wood chips every hour or two. The smoker puts out a moderate amount of smoke with a very small amount of wood chips. And it uses wood chips, no expensive wood disks. On a 60 degree day, it preheated to 275 in about 20 minutes and again easily maintained temp even though it was very windy out. It also recovers quickly when you open the door to check on your food. So far all the food I have made in this smoker has come out fantastic. Nice smoky flavour with very little work. (B. Correira)
